Tricolor Gum and Salted Paper Workshop

The Tricolor Gum and Salted Paper workshop with Christina Anderson at Photographers' Formulary was a great experience and made an impact on the future of my artwork.

Before taking this workshop with Christina Anderson, I had found her book Gum Printing and Other Amazing Contact Printing Processes in a local photography store. The alternative print processes described in this book blew my mind! I had a hunch; this was the creative process missing in my photography process.

I honestly didn't know what to expect when I signed up for this workshop at Photo Formulary. What I soon found out was that I discovered a hidden gem right here in my backyard of Montana. The property, facility, staff, and the food at the Photo Formulary are exceptional. I knew we were in good hands when I first met Christina Anderson and her TA Megan Crawford

By the end of the workshop, I felt comfortable making Salted Paper prints on my own, and I knew this was the process I wanted to take home to my studio. Christina's teaching style is both exhilarating and refreshing. The extent of her knowledge and experience with Alt processes is broad, and it is evident she is driven to teach and openly share with anyone interested. It is this spirit that inspires me to keep creating, experimenting, and pushing the boundaries in my artwork.
