Every spring on the beaches along the coast of Oregon, you can find driftwood beach forts tucked along the shoreline. Through the years, I have photographed these structures before they ultimately get washed away, never to be seen again. I enjoy hanging out inside each one to see how cozy it is and admire the found items the builders used to create such a structure. A lot of imagination goes into the building of these forts, and that is part of the allure I find most interesting; each one is unique.

I made a 5” x 8” trade book using a printing company called Blurb. I used economy paper for the proof, and although it is nice to make a trade book for only $4, I would like a higher quality for this project. I think I'll try printing this again as a 7"x7" flatlay to accommodate images going across the spine, on 100# Premium Lustre Ultra-Thick paper. I guess this project will be in progress for awhile longer :}
